"sweet spring is your
time is my time is our
time for springtime is lovetime
and viva sweet love”
― E.E. Cummings
I feel so full of love as I write this. I'm loving that spring is finally here and summer is just around the corner, I'm loving this journey I'm on and all of the people who helped guide me to this place in my life.
My favorite thing about spring is how motivated and encouraged I feel to accomplish new things. I've already done some really exciting things in the last few months I'm excited to share with you!
In the beginning of March, I helped with the RMSAAM's booth at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo! I had the chance to meet some truly amazing people who share my passion for alternative animal care. I loved building relationships with like-minded individuals pursuing their dreams of making the world a better place for animals. It was an awesome opportunity to network and to be able to add to my "Resources" page!
In April, I had the pleasure of attending and photographing the Charity Chili Cookoff benefiting the amazing organization, ColoRADogs! It was co-hosted by our friends at Boulder's Natural Animal Hospital, and it was a great time (and for a great cause!). I loved getting to spend the day amongst fellow animal lovers and advocates. I hope to have Heal to Howl more involved next year (perhaps co-sponsor?!). The adoptable pup on the right, Norman, attended the Chili Cookoff and enjoyed the dog-friendly chili by Honest Kitchen. At the end of March, I attended Canine Massage Denver's Reiki Level II workshop at Happy Dog Ranch. Happy Dog Ranch is an amazing place: a ranch with a number of rescued animals (dogs, cats, cows, horses, goats, etc.) which holds a number of workshops and educational, spiritual events within its property lines. March 28th was a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright, and it was warm and made me hungry for summer. The other women attending the workshop were each incredible and inspiring. What I experienced that day can't be simply explained, only felt deep in my heart. I got the chance to offer Reiki to a cat, a pony and a horse, and I felt such peace radiating through me every second of it. I am now a Reiki Level II Animal Practitioner, and I can't wait to continue to experience more of what Reiki has to offer.
And finally, last week, I submitted my case studies to receive the final canine massage certification through RMSAAM! I've been quite the busy bee!
I can't wait for what the summer has in store for me and Heal to Howl. In the meantime, I'll end with some adorable images of the Heal to Howl pups enjoying Spring! :)
Love & Light,
Owner of Heal to Howl.
